I'm turning 50 and it’s time to celebrate!
What’s happening?
A party will be held on the evening of Saturday, 3rd October in Fira - the capital of Santorini. More details to follow on where exactly!

What else is happening besides the party?
I’m looking into a few activities which will be completely optional to join. Please do let me know if you’re interested in joining any by completing the form below. This is just an expression of interest for now - you can always change your mind later either way but it would be great to have an idea of numbers for pre-bookings, etc!
How long will I be there for?
I’m arriving Thursday afternoon (1st October) and will leave Monday afternoon (5th October) - but you can obviously stay for as little or as long as you like!
Where am I staying?
Dan and I have decided to go a bit fancy pants and will be staying at Katikies Garden suite hotel. If anyone is interested in staying there too, please let me know ASAP and before you book as we might be able to secure discounted rates.
What other hotels are recommended?
Santorini doesn’t have too many large hotels or resorts but tends to have more boutique hotels or privately let apartments. AirBnB and Booking.com will definitely offer up some great options to suit all tastes and budgets.
If you’re interested in more of a luxury experience, let me know if any of the below hotels look tempting before booking as we might be able to secure a group discount

Who’s paying for what?
The party on Saturday night is definitely on me… everything else will be up to you! (But keep checking back just in case I win the lottery in between now and then!)
What’s on my gift wish list?
Seriously people, I don’t need anything. If I can see your happy face on the day that will be more than enough for me! Also - I’m cheap and probably won’t even have checked luggage so don’t buy me anything. Please.
Why Santorini?
Because it’s been on my travel bucket list for a very long time and I’ve never made it there - partly because the idea of loads of crowds in the summer season didn’t appeal to me so when my clever daughter suggested going there in the slightly-off-season of October for my 50th, it was a quick decision!
When is my actual birthday?
I’m sure you’ve all committed it to memory but just as a reminder, my actual birthday is not until 22nd October but most of Santorini will be closed down by then so I’m sneaking the celebrations in a little early!
